Stacy

Stacy - ONE of the most beautiful gals in the world (nudge, nudge -- I'm the OTHER one)

Dorothy Gale said, “There’s no place like home” – that quote certainly rings true – especially during the time I’ve been away from Georgia, either soaking up the sun and fun with friends in California or enjoying QFT (Quality Family Time), nothing bizarre or quite out-of-the-ordinary have happened.  It was as if things went back to…normal (!?!?)

I’ve been helping my dad create his home office.  Ever since my parents got the “Casa Neuva,” they’ve been busy fixing up the house itself.  Needless to say, when I saw the place Hamilton-style, I was impressed (well done,  Mom and Dad!) but my poor dad hadn’t had time to really work on his office so that’s why I was there.  It took me some time to paint the walls and lay out the carpet.  I personally think I’m becoming quite the Tool “Woman,” no pun intended!

Streaker, Roxie, and Tazzie...just being their usual ornery selves

My sister and brother in law were able to come in town for a few days and what fun it was.  The entire family went in for a photography session – too much fun and lots of laughs.  My grandfather and one of my sister’s closest friends came with her baby for a visit so there certainly was a lot of activity going on around the house.  Who’s complaining???

The weather while I was in New Mexico was really nice.  It’s the time of the year when Mother Nature can’t quite make up her mind (blame the Los Alamos fires?) – we’d have clear, warm and sunny weather in the mornings with a gray and overcast sky in the afternoons.

One of the things while being away from college – nothing beats home cooking and one of the things my mom does best:  making reservations.  So whatever weight I lost while in Savannah (due to limited budgets – I STILL am a college student, y’know!) and time, I gained back in New Mexico.  Which is, of course, all good (and some of you – you know who you are – have been nitpicking me on how skinny I am!)

Well – all in all, my stay in New Mexico has been nothing but fun and good times – and I’m already looking forward to Christmas!!
